As ilhas gregas de Paros e Mykonos foram fortemente afetadas por chuvas torrenciais que, na segunda-feira, causaram grandes inundações.
A chuva deverá continuar a cair esta terça-feira nas ilhas, populares entre os turistas durante a época de verão. Até ao momento, não há registo de vítimas, mas os danos materiais são claros, com habitações e empresas afetadas e dezenas de veículos arrastados.
A Proteção Civil local avisou na segunda-feira que os residentes de Paros e Mykonos devem permanecer em casa. As escolas foram encerradas e a circulação rodoviária foi proibida, exceto a veículos de emergência.
As cidades de Parikia e Naousa foram as mais afetadas.
